Kenya Cycling Safari

12 – 20 October, 2002.
The Kenya Cycling Safari Charity Bike Ride was hosted by Norwood Ravenswood together with the Down’s Syndrome Association. Cycle tour support and logistics were organised by EscapeAdventuresNZ.  An opportunity of a lifetime to experience the excitement of Africa with its amazing variety of wildlife and spectacular landscapes. We cycled through the Great Rift Valley, crossed the Equator and visited Lake Bogoria. Camping out at night, we cycled 350km at altitudes of over 6,000 ft. This was no holiday, but was unbelievable fun and helped raise much needed funds for both Norwood and the Down’s Syndrome Association.
